Hollywood Horror Nights Unleashes Fear Upon Universal Studios Hollywood On Select Nights from Sept. 13 - Nov. 3

In Hollywood fashion, Universal Studios Hollywood, rolled out the red carpet for some famous creators, actors, and musicians to kick off the “Halloween Horror Nights” season.

Creators, actors, and musicians who inspired the featured houses this year were in attendance like the anticipated maze highlighting the blockbuster movie Us. Academy Award®️- winning filmmaker Jordan Peele along with some of the cast like Evan Alex, Madison Curry, Alan Frazier, Shahadi Wright Joseph and Cali and Noelle Sheldon came to support this event. Executive Producer of Creepshow and The Walking Dead, Greg Nicotero made his way down carpet along with Dan Aykroyd from Ghostbusters and it’s director Ivan Reitman.

Executive Producers of Stranger Things, Matt Duffer and Ross Duffer made their way down the carpet followed by GRAMMY®️ Award-winning musician Slash and multi-platinum recording artist and filmmaker, Rob Zombie who wrote and directed House of a 1000 Corpses (which is one of the themed houses this year) along with Bill Moseley who played Otis in the film. Charles and Edward Chiodo who helped write and produce Killer Klowns from Outer Space along with Grant Cramer who acted in the film also were in attendance along with many other talented guests. Last and certainly not least, John Murdy, Executive Producer of “Halloween Horror Nights” at Universal Studios Hollywood strolled through the carpet.

The Fan Preview Event featured a “Behind the Screams” panel led by John Murdy and included a panel of filmmakers and musicians who Universal Studios Hollywood has collaborated with over the years to bring “Hollywood Horror Nights” to life. The panel included filmmaker Eli Roth, Director and Producer, Greg Nicotero and musician, Slash. 

The Mazes & Attractions:

This year’s terrifying “Halloween Horror Nights” lineup of mazes and attractions includes:

  • Us, an all-new maze based on the blockbuster film from Universal Pictures and visionary Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Jordan Peele

  • Ghostbusters, Sony Pictures’ classic 1984 film comes to life for the first time ever in this all-new maze

  • Stranger Things, based on seasons 2 and 3 of Netflix’s critically-acclaimed supernatural thriller

  • Killer Klowns from Outer Space, the popular 1980s horror sci-fi film lands at “Halloween Horror Nights” in this all-new chilling maze

  • Creepshow, maze inspired by the 1982 cult classic movie directed by George Romero and Shudder’s brand new anthology series, reimagined by acclaimed make-up artist, director and executive producer, Greg Nicotero

  • Frankenstein Meets The Wolf Man, inspired by Universal’s original cinematic monsters and the movie studio that invented the horror film genre

  • House of 1000 Corpses, inspired by Lionsgate’s 2003 cult classic film and directed by multi-platinum recording artist and filmmaker Rob Zombie

  • “Holidayz in Hell,” an all-original maze featuring demented versions of everyone’s favorite seasonal celebrations

  • “Curse of Pandora’s Box,” an all-new original maze based on the twisted Greek mythology tale

·         The Walking Dead, Universal Studios Hollywood’s permanent attraction inspired by AMC’s popular television series

·         The Jabbawockeez award-winning hip hop dance crew returns by popular demand with an all-new, high-energy performance created exclusively for “Halloween Horror Nights”


“Halloween Horror Nights” will be on select nights starting September 13 through November 3, 2019. 

Event dates are:

September: 13-15, 19-22, 26-29

October: 3-6, 10-13, 17-20, 24-27, 31

November: 1-3

Tickets can be purchased at Hollywood.HalloweenHorrorNights.com and due to the popularity of this event, advance ticket purchases are highly recommended. There are a few diverse ticket options to consider as some may be more beneficial for you than others. Here are the different ticket options:
